Guests arrive at the NW Seaplanes terminal in Renton and check in their 20 pounds of soft-sided luggage (don't worry about not enough clothes, the staff at Rivers Inlet Resort is more than happy to clean and fold your laundry) and board the planes at 6:55 am. The planes take off from the south end of Lake Washington and provide the very best view of Seattle during the morning traffic rush. If only these commuters knew what Rivers Inlet Resort guests were heading, they'd really experience Road Rage! Again, why would you want to go to any other Rivers Inlet lodge knowing that you could be victim to Road Rage? Spend your time watching the view from above and more time fishing.


From Renton, the floatplanes fly direct to Campbell River British Columbia, where guests check through Canadian Customs. This also provides a quick restroom stop and a chance to stretch your legs and put more film in the camera, because you'll need it. Note: you can bring one carton of cigarettes into Canada duty free. This leg of the voyage takes two hours.

From Campbell River to Rivers Inlet Resort the flight takes just 1 1/2 hours over the most breathtaking scenery in pristine and beatiful British Columbia Canada. Keep your eyes and cameras ready to take in the sights of glaciers, rivers, wildlife, panaramic views and snow-capped rugged mountain peaks.

Total flight time to the lodge: 3 1/2 hours

Arrival time to the lodge: 10:45 am, just in time for lunch, snacks and the trophy salmon fishing clinic. Or simply check your boat out and be on the water fishing in minutes. Remember, the trophy fishing is no farther than the end of Rivers Inlet Resort's dock.
