Halibut Fishing at
Rivers Inlet Resort
Rivers Inlet Resort now offers three halibut fishing trips per week to the ocean. (click here for dates)The local native Oweekeno village, just two miles from our resort will be offering these trips to groups of six to the mouth of the inlet or to the south end of Calvert Island.
Last summer, John Beath, former RIR manager and owner of halibut.net accompanied local native Fred Smith and had this to say about the area being fished.
"I had some of my best halibut fishing of the summer at the south end of Calvert Island," explains Beath. "During most trips we came back with limits and lost several big fish too."
Prices are $250 per person
All tackle, food and drinks will be provided for these trips. Upon returning to the docks of Rivers Inlet Resort, our expert dock staff will fillet and vacuum pack your catch.
