Rivers
Inlet Resort has the shortest season of any coastal fishing
lodge in British Columbia, July 25th through September 3rd.
Why?
Simple,
because the peak of the trophy chinook salmon run at Rivers
Inlet doesn't last long! That's why we only stay open for
38 days and 38 nights, during the very best time when our
guests have the best chance to catch a world-class trophy
chinook that weighs more than the average sized chinook.
During
the past several years the peak of 40-plus pound salmon
arrive at the head of Rivers Inlet (where Rivers Inlet Resort
is located) during the last week of July. Instead of taking
hard-earned money from hopeful anglers seeking trophy chinook
salmon, we feel our short season provides the best chance
at the fish of a lifetime without wasting time or money.
If
you've fished elsewhere you know the feeling of accomplishment
when you catch a trophy Tyee, (chinook salmon over 30-pounds).
At Rivers Inlet Resort you can feel the surge of a Tyee
that will average 40 pounds. That's right, our Tyee average
40 pounds, if guests follow our motto: Even when you factor
in the small 25 to 30 pounders, the average stays within
a pound or two of the sought-after 40 pound mark.
Catch
a 40 pounder and you too can join the not-so-exclusive 40
Pound Club! Catch a 50 pounder and you can join the ranks
of anglers who become addicted to trophy salmon fishing.
We'll give you a gold hook for your 40 Pound Club hat too.
Indian
Legend
There's
another reason why Rivers Inlet Resort stays open just 40
days & 40 nights. The Arc story from the Bible and Indian
legend. "When the water receded they found themselves
in the land of GIANT salmon," Indian Legend.
After
visiting Rivers Inlet Resort you too will become a believer
in the Indian legend, and will find yourself in the land
of GIANT salmon!
